Benchmark #46During all my years in football, I definitely have had to take some criticism. Whether it was good or bad, I had to find a way to make it positive. I knew if the coaches said something I was doing wrong they just wanted me to do better and work to fix it.
|
Benchmark #51We also had a good amount of meetings to try and figure out what we could do different to be better. I would always try to contribute some sort of idea in the meeting, and we would add ideas to each other's.

Benchmark #57Being on the football team, definitely our biggest goal was to win the state championship. I tried my hardest to make that happen, but we did fall short because we lost in the 3rd round of the playoffs. I tried to be a leader to the team, and motivate my teammates to do better.

Benchmark #59Demonstrating loyalty to my team would be how I sacrificed 4 years of my life to this football program. Also not doing stupid things that would negatively affect the team.
|
Benchmark #60Before each game we would have a defensive and offensive meeting. The offensive players would go to the offensive meeting, and the defensive to the defensive meeting. At some point in these meetings we would always set a couple goals we wanted to accomplish in the upcoming game. We would all agree on the goals that we wanted to accomplish.

Leading the team in its missions and goals. I felt like from my junior year to my senior year, people took me more serious as a leader on the team. I took advantage of being a leader, and tried to motivate and help my teammates no matter what we were doing. Also I worked as hard as I could to make my teammates push themselves too.

An example of helping the team to meet needs in the future, is that I would always lift with and help the players on the freshman and jv teams. I would help teach them proper lifting form, and always tell them it's going to be over before you know it. I always told them to work as hard as they could no matter what.
|
Benchmark #64Throughout the year we definitely had our number of problems on the team. Mostly people smoking and drinking. We had a bunch of meetings to try and figure out what we could do, and the coaches would always tell us to come forward if we knew who was doing it.
|
Benchmark #65I feel like I did a good job inspiring people to do better. I always made it a point to work as hard as I could no matter what we were doing. Whether it was practice, sprints, or lifting, I would work hard to inspire my teammates to do the same.

Benchmark #67
I think it is important for teammates to help each other to achieve their tasks. That's is why I would always go with this kid named Abraham (he was the kicker) during gym and catch his kicks. He got a lot better from practicing during gym.
